East Coast Rail Link (Section 6)
The ECRL project is a planned double-tracked railway link that travels from Kota Bahru, Kelantan to Port Klang, Selangor. This project will help improve and further develop the ever-growing East Coast Economic Region of Peninsular Malaysia.
ECRL is also part of China's Belt and Road Initiative. With advanced passenger cars of speeds up to 160 km/h, travel times between the East and West Coasts, and also possibly to international lands in the future can be greatly reduced. An international trade network could also be born.
